The Man and the Shroom

There was once a particular man

On a journey of self-discovery

He wondered and wondered

Till he got himself hopeless lost

His supplies dwindled until he

Became ravenous, his stomach

Growling loudly for all to hear

He search for anything to satisfy

His growing hunger, anything

Would do, be it fruit, or a grub

He wouldn’t complain

Just as the hope of nourishment

Seemed fade he stumble across

A bright red mushroom quickly

He snatched the mushroom from

The earth, his eyes gleamed

Just as he began to eat, the mushroom spoke

“Good sir, please do not eat me. For I shall kill you dead”
